Hollywood’s original Thai joint emerges in a Motel in the late 1970’s. Sapp Coffee Shop was revered as one of the first known shop in shops in Los Angeles.
This little Thai joint got its debut in a gritty, classic Hollywood Motel as a Coffee Shop by day and a Thai food joint by night. The owner of the Motel agreed to rent the small diner to Sapp as long as they served a classic American breakfast to tourists and a cup of American coffee.
