Saladang began in 1993 with a simple wish from the heart of its founder, Dang Vattanatham – a Thai woman who wanted others to enjoy the cuisine so near and dear to her. She cleverly combined her name with the word sala, which means "meeting place". Years and many delicious dishes later, Saladang is a culinary gem of Pasadena, continuing to open its kitchen and arms to the neighborhood.
